Scott Whitley, The San Diego Union-Tribune

The oldest business in San Diego County and the second-oldest newspaper in Southern California, The San Diego Union-Tribune is the product of a merger of The San Diego Union, founded in 1868, and the Evening Tribune, founded in 1895. The newspapers have won numerous awards over the years, including two Pulitzer Prizes. Today its print and online editions jointly reach about 1.5 million readers.

M² has helped The San Diego Union-Tribune develop revenue strategies to adapt to its fast-changing industry. Ideas and perspectives from outside the publishing world are especially valuable to the company as it seeks innovative ways to serve customers. “We can count on M² to bring us experts who can help us evaluate and build out forward-thinking ideas,” says Scott Whitley, Vice President of Advertising and Research.  The San Diego Union-Tribune depends on both the quality of the consultants and M²’s knowledge of its business. Says Whitley, “M² consultants are true professionals who provide valuable guidance and deliver meaningful results to help drive our success.”
